Winter Endurance Championship
November 2009 through march 2010 Fanzonely competes in division II of the DNRT Winter Endurance Championship.
After the 2008/2009 WEC the Fanzonely Development BRL Light (now called the Focus Silhouette) was further developed.
Results and data from the 2008/2009 championship were analysed and weaknesses were eliminated.
For example the engine and engine management system were completely replaced.
The car was driven by Dick Freebird, Simon Knap, Christian Dijkhof and Chris Maliepaard and obtained two second places.
In preparation of the Endurance, Fanzonely decided to further explore the kinematics and dynamics of the suspension and chassis of the FD BRL Light Development car.
The car was prepared for testing on a four-post shaker rig at the Arnhem University of Applied Science.
The behaviour of the car was recorded by 12 sensors and complex mathematics was used to analyse the results.
The results are used to obtain a better understanding of the dynamics of the car and to validate mathematical models.
